in what i'm into

 fresh cut

Do you have the day off? Do you have kiddos or a spouse home because of President’s Day? Jonathan has the day off so we have plans to hang out as a family this morning before he golfs and I get some writing done. What are you up to? Here are a few things keeping me busy over the last month or so…

Reading: Refuse to Do Nothing: Finding Your Power to Abolish Modern-Day Slavery; just finished The Middle Place and Wednesdays were Pretty Normal: A Boy, Cancer, And God (Highly recommend all of these!)

Listening to: JJ Heller– all of her stuff is so good and makes me weepy about motherhood and life in general.

Cooking: I’ve been on a huge egg salad sandwich kick recently. Eggs are good for growing babies and toddlers! And, they’re yummy.

Baking: Valentine’s cake pops, chocolate chip scones, and Joy Bars (graham cracker crust, condensed milk + coconut, layered with melted peanut butter chocolate = happy heart attack.)

Watching: Do you really think I will publicly admit whether I’m watching the Bachelor again this season? I don’t think so. While I am plugging away at some of my regular TV favorites (NASHVILLE!), I’m doing a lot more reading than normal which is quite satisfying.

Wearing: Gap maternity skinny jeans, because it just needed to happen, and a lot of cute accessories I’ve bought or been gifted for my birthday. Outlet shopping is the BOMB, and accessories are vital during pregnancy.

Working hard on: my book proposal! It’s almost ready to go out to agents. Will you say a little prayer it ends up in the right hands, and maybe someone likes it?

Thankful for: Gerber daisies from Dana, romantic dinners out, time at home with my sweet girl even when she’s sick, dim sum with Sarah, and BEAUTIFUL weather.

Anticipating: Our gender ultrasound is this Thursday. We can’t wait to see if this little one is indeed the girl we think it is, and to make sure everything looks healthy and happy in there.

Any good music, book, tv, movie or recipe suggestions?

Can't wait to hear what you're having! What is your favorite JJ Heller song? I have never heard of her, but it sounds like I might enjoy her stuff!

We spent the afternoon on the couch watching the finale of Downton Abbey (had to record it, since it comes on so stinkin' LATE). Praying for your book to land in the right spot. Tim

I Just got the new Chris Tomlin worship CD, it's really good... I think Isaiah might be outnumbered by his girl cousins! We just started watching the new season of Amazing Race.. if you are in to that!
