Family reunions and childcare swaps

We’re home from a grand weekend in snowy central Oregon with all 130+ members of Jonathan’s extended family. Finding me in the above picture is kind of like a game of Where’s Waldo, right?

Until this past weekend I’d never been to a family reunion. ┬áMy family is small compared to the Friesen clan! It was so much fun to meet all of Jonathan’s many cousins (brown shirts) aunts and uncles (maroon shirts) and cousins once removed (orange shirts). Anna also got to meet many of her second cousins all of whom are in the gray shirts above.

Since I’m still catching up on unpacking, laundry, etc. I don’t have a longer post planned. But, I hope you’ll pop over to Jamee’s blog where I’m guest posting about how to make a childcare swap work.

Happy Tuesday!

Love the color coordination going on with the generations there. We used to do family reunions a lot when I was in my teens and twenties, but they've fallen off. Lots of fun, especially for the younger crowd I suspect. P.S. How about guesting at my place?
