in what i'm into

Reading: Quiet: The Power of Introverts. Shhhhhhhh.

Listening to: Elizabeth Mitchell‘s folk songs for children. It’s kid music that parents actually want to listen to. Thank you Pandora. (Also: brag, brag, brag: I got to see Carrie Underwood last night. We had SUPER close seats thanks to a generous friend. I love her.)

Thankful for: My husband’s hard work this weekend on our front yard landscaping. It’s not quite done yet, but boy has it already made a huge difference in curb appeal. I got out of manual labor thanks to my big fall.

Anticipating: A solo writing retreat later this month.

Cooking: Butternut squash (amazing recipe, check it out) and oatmeal! Pumpkin oatmeal and crock pot apple cinnamon oatmeal. Everyone is into these recipes at our house, especially Anna.

Baking: Duncan Hines Gluten free brownies, from a box. Tasted just like the real deal.

Watching: Fall sitcoms are back! Up All Night, Modern Family and New Girl.

Wearing: New jeans from Old Navy. They carry lengths now! Who knew? Not me.

Any good music, book, tv, movie or recipe suggestions?

TV: glad that Hawaii 5-O is back; same with NCIS and NCIS-LA; Leverage and Mentalist too. Do you detect a theme with the TV watching in our house? Reading: in the middle of Philip Yancey's Rumors of Another World. Laura at Enough Light sent it to me, and it si excellent.

I just LOVE Modern Family and New Girl :) Great entertainment!

LOVE Elizabeth Mitchell songs for children! Also, the It's a Big World Pandora station is SO GOOD. Tons of cute songs - I have it on all the time!
