Ah, Labor Day weekend. We celebrated the end of summer by hanging out at Bass Lake with my mom & dad (which was really fun– pictures to come). We also joined the masses of holiday shoppers, braved Macy’s and bought Jonathan a brand new suit for job interviews this fall. I might be biased, but he is going to look so hot when puts that thing on next week for his first interview. It’s black (which I was told in the past is not good for business but apparently this isn’t true anymore). He also got a new tie which I helped him choose. I wanted a lime green stripe but decided that wouldn’t be best for a first impression interview so we settled on a black and light blue stripe. Besides getting a very good deal (more than half off!) we also were in and out of the mall in under one hour. Sometimes, I hate being a girl. I would NEVER, EVER be able to find a suit in one hour.

All in all, I feel quite proud of myself that I helped my husband buy a suit. It seems like a very big girl thing to do. right?

Growing up is full of these fun milestones. I just got a wedding invitation for a couple that I used to babysit when I was 13 years old. They are 23 now! Crazy. And Jonathon will always be about 13 in my mind too. He is just a bit younger than me and we had such fun making trouble at family reunions. He cannot be old enough for a real job and a real suit! I feel old.
