I like to make lists. Mostly my lists are boring. (“Water garden. Send thank you note to so-and-so for dinner. Make lunch for tomorrow.”) I also can make very fun lists that help me accomplish all the great wonderful things of summer. Because we’ll be gone a lot the next few months, we wanted to start checking a few of those “things” off our list. Yesterday went like this:
Dim Sum at New Canton with a friend from work. Deliciously yummy Hong Kong style food that gets pushed around on carts… think steamed buns, egg rolls, gyoza, our favorite cucumber salad, wontons, etc.
Ignored Nor Cal health advisories to stay inside. Instead, we rounded up the Sac crew for a day on the river.
Rushed over to Pops in the Park for Kentucky Fried Chicken picnic dinner.
Went to the drive-in with everyone to see Get Smart. (Somewhat entertaining, could have been funnier). Joe Magley just moved up here and Jonathan and I sat on his huge truck for prime viewing.
The perfect, most wonderful Sacramento summer day. 🙂
