My legal skills are limited. (Legally Blonde, Jodi Piccoult and John Grisham anyone?) I think the last time I was in a courtroom was in third grade when my class did the mock trial of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I was Goldilocks. It was adorable.

Today, I was back on the witness stand as Mr. Cannon, the defendant in a wreckless driving case. My attorney? The wonderful, Jonathan E. Miller Esquire (almost). I had a blast.

Even though I’ve gotten to see Jonathan finish three sets of finals– I’ve never watched him in action. Tonight I was able to see a full, fake trial during his Moot Court class. And, I was part of it!

Jonathan did an incredible job. Really and honestly, I’m not just saying that because I’m his wife. He was well spoken, on his feet and creative. I wasn’t the only one who noticed. His professor spent about 15 minutes talking about how well both him and the other student did in their roles and said, and I quote, “I truly hope to see both of you become litigators.”

I seriously almost teared up and squeeled. But, I refrained. That would have been awfully embarrassing for him. 🙂

How cool is that!?!? It’s not every day you get to watch someone you love have success. Tonight made my week…maybe even my month!

That's so great, Les! I can just picture Jonathan. Of course he's good! I'm proud for him too!

How fun!!! Way to go Jonathan!! Did he ever say, "So you were in the shower....washing your hair?" Jonathan is the next Elle Woods! Ok, maybe he's slightly more professional. My friend just got into grad school at Harvard so whenever it gets brought up I quote lines from Legally Blonde like, "What, like it's hard?" but my friend never gets them. I suppose the type of people who actually go to Harvard don't enjoy movies like Legally Blonde as much as I do.
