Something to do on your Saturday night

It’s Saturday night! You could go see an Oscar nominated movie, make a romantic dinner for your significant other, or grab some fro-yo. All of these are fantastic choices but first can I humbly ask you to “LIKE” me on Facebook?

At the prompting of many writer friends, and a fantastic push from Rachelle Gardner (Never Again Hate Self-Promotion), I finally decided to get over my embarrassment and make a page.

If you like me, I promise to keep you up-to-date on the latest with my book writing and blog posts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'd do that facebook like thing in a heartbeat, if I had a facebook account. Maybe I should get one. I've thought of that and twitter too. My reluctance has nothing to do with refraining from self-promotion, though. (Seriously Lesley, can you imagine me not pushing my writing on anyone who might be remotely interested?) It has to do with feeling like I'd have yet another part of the internet that I needed to keep track of. Let us know how much trouble (or easy) it becomes. I'd love to hear a report back in a couple weeks. Maybe it would put me in the mindset to finally go with FB and twitter. Hey, and about that frozen yogurt thing, you know a couple in Davis who are always up for a trip to the best frozen yogurt in town!

Like, like, like! I have been in a tailspin of Facebook drama over the past year (should I make a blog facebook page? is this photography page doing anything? should i quit facebook altogether? how come when you click on "ashlee gadd creative" it goes to a blank page with 7 likes?!), but you have totally encouraged me to re-evaluate. I like the idea of having a page to (shamelessly) promote both writing AND photography. And I just learned this morning that if your page has under 200 likes, you can change the name of it (score!). All that being said, my Ashlee Gadd Photography page is now an Ashlee Gadd Creative page, and it feels good and it feels more me. So, thanks for indirectly inspiring me to fix that!
