Your FB post today reminded me that I've been wanting to catch up on your blog, and this post couldn't be more perfect describing my feelings lately. I've been so impatient for neverending, HOT summer to end so that fall and winter arrive. I want to wear cute maternity outfits and boots, eat soup, and I mainly want to feel like our little guy will get here soon! I know I should slow down and enjoy our simple, kid-free life now, but it's hard to be patient. Definitely on the same page on that one!

PS i love your blog

<i>"But the best news about a change in season is that God prepares us for each one, and they never last longer than they’re supposed to."</i>

My word but that's good, Lesley, very well said. God prepares us for them, he times them for us, and stays with us in each one. Great news.

Kelsey- I'm so glad! Sometimes I think the little life lessons we learn aren't big enough, or unique enough, to help someone else. But then I am reminded that when I'm going through a tough time it's sometimes the small stories (or verses I know so well already) that help me most.

Wow, Lesley, this really touched me today. We are in a difficult season of waiting on the Lord...it hurts and is frustrating - but we have hope and joy in our God, and our strength and patience will surely rise as we wait. Thanks for sharing!
