This week, President Obama will arrive in Asia. His trip includes a stop in China. Would you consider praying that he’d make time to discuss an important issue with the Chinese government? The issue is forced abortion- and it’s a serious problem for more than just the innocent babies killed each year.
This article describes just a few of the problems that have come from years of forced abortions. The saddest part for me is that because of a lack of women in China, there is a link with growing numbers of sex slaves coming across the border from countries like North Korea. ( A story Laura Ling was trying to expose when she was captured last spring, and that I wrote about here.)
God has perfect plans for how our life on earth should work. When we mess with his plans, we disrupt more than just a tiny life; we mess with an order for the way God wants our world to work. Forced abortions lead to a chain reaction of sin and heartache. Would you pray for healing in this country?

Hi Lesley,
I will pray that President Obama has an “awakening” on his trip to Asia. I will pray that he not only speaks for the unborn in China but also for the unborn in America because whether it is forced or unforced, the killing of an unborn child is wrong. What makes you think that Obama will speak negatively about abortion when he approves of it? Mr. Obama so far has not shown the willingness to confront other nations when a perceived injustice is being done, just ask the Iranian citizens. My hopes unfortunately are minimal for him to suddenly have the courage and conviction to stand up to the Chinese on this issue, but I will pray for his heart to change.
Dad
Are there any updates on what happened?
The increase in sex slavery is so horrible, but even on a smaller scale, I have heard that men in small villages are becoming very apathetic and even depressed because there are no women to marry, therefore little drive to work hard.
The family structure is getting very out of wack to say the least.
Thanks for writing about this…would love an update.
