Just when I was thinking, “Oh no- it’s Thursday and I haven’t found a feel good story yet!” I found one. This clip, courtesy of my favorite news station in Sacramento, reminded me of how easy I had it at 18. I graduated on a sunny day, delivered the commencement address, and then moved myself to one of America’s most expensive zip codes, to attend one of America’s most expensive private schools. (Thanks Mom and Dad!)
These teens, both of whom grew up very differently than I, remind me that those who find success do so not just through hard work, but compassion.

We hear so many stories about how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and it great to hear a story about hard work paying off! I love your Feel Good Fridays.
I love this story, it was successful in making me feel good!
p.s. I know this is annoying, but I moved my blog to http://www.wheremyheartresides.com if you want to update my link =)
Keep up the Feel Good Fridays!
I gave the graduation speech at my high school too! I think it would be massively embarrassing to watch now. Getting excited to see you.
Wow! That is an incredible story. I can’t believe that girl got 700 GRAND in scholarship offers. Can she share the love a little my direction, and like…pay off my student loans? It’s only a measly 30 grand.
