The way I see it
Isn’t necessarily
The way you see it
Or the way it is
Or ought to be
What’s more important
Is that we’re all
Looking for it
And a way to see it

One of my girlfriends got this poem on their Starbucks cup last weekend right after we’d all been discussing the presidential election and propositions. Then, yesterday, I got the same cup! I think it’s a nice reminder of what should be our focus during this election season– that we’re seeking truth, seeking wisdom, seeking answers and different opinions, doing our research, and making informed decisions. There is only 19 days left. Have you started reading the props? Do you know who you’ll be voting for? Time is running out…

Thanks for your link Steve. The article was really fascinating. Especially comparing McCain and Obama's answers to the same question. It's obvious there's no beating around the bush with McCain.

I love this post - seeking truth, being informed, being an active participant in the process is what matters. On a somewhat related note, I thought I totally pissed off your dad because it's been WEEKS since his last email and my last one was about how Sarah Palin winked too many times in the debate (among other, more important topics)...but turns out he was just away for a few days, and is now "ready to rumble."

I will raise my [Starbucks] glass to "seeking truth [and] seeking wisdom" any day. I haven't read all the propisitions yet, but I believe that's for our other blog ;-)
