October is a month for family and friends– at least in my world. It seems our entire month is booked already on the weekends with either visitors or travels. We are very spoiled! Last weekend was Jonathan’s 25th birthday and we celebrated by going to Bandera for dinner with Sam, Sharon, Camille, Eric and Anna who was visiting from Santa Barbara. I miss that girl and had fun catching up with her plus the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great too– we were tucked back into a candle lit booth and enjoyed our Catacula wine with no corkage fee. (side note, Camille and Eric hooked us up a few months ago when we visited her family’s winery in Napa. Not to spoil any upcoming Christmas presents or anything…but…well….)

So, Jonathan is now proud father of a tiny new nano, his very first ipod, and we had a great time celebrating his life. I love him and love watching his years go by.
Allison and my mom visited starting Saturday and we went to the city to hang out. (Note: I called San Francisco “the city” because that’s what people in “Nor Cal” do. It’s all about the lingo…) We watched the Blue Angels, got great food, walked around and saw the sights, checked out Westmont’s Urban House, ate dinner at a Vegan restaurant with Emily Katz, stayed right in the heart of the Tenderloin (which wasn’t that bad) and checked out Sausalito. They stayed at our house on Sunday night and we watched a bad movie and ate cheesecake…it was very fun and reminded me of how much I miss having family close by. Isn’t Allison’s hair long? It is inspiring me to try and grow mine out….

Oh, you make me miss it up there! And isn't Sausalito the cutest?

It was so great to see you guys! You secretly want to be a vegetarian now, huh?
